Floodplain Management Program
The responsibility for floodplain management in NSW sits with local councils. The Floodplain Management Program provides grants from the NSW Government and other assistance to councils. The evaluation assessed the performance of the Program in meeting its objectives and made recommendations on possible improvements.
Three Capes Walking Track
Tasmania’s Parks & Wildlife Service commissioned this assessment of the project’s economic impact, mainly in terms of visitor spending and employment in Tasmania’s tourism industry. The first stage of the Three Capes walk is now complete and seems to be booked for months ahead. We updated the assessment to include the impact of the second stage.
Regional Growth and Infrastructure Plan
Strategic Impact Assessment of the spatial options that were considered in preparing the Regional Growth and Infrastructure Plan for the Lower Hunter Region, comprising LGAs of Cessnock, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Newcastle and Port Stephens. The key strategic issues are the impact of spatial plans on infrastructure costs and functionality.
